Happy 7 months!

Guillermo turned 7 months old yesterday. He is growing up WAY to fast for me. From the pictures, you'll see that his new favorite thing to do is carry toys around in his mouth like a dog. His favorite 'toy' is a piece of the puzzle-piece mat that his toys are all kept on in our living room. There are tiny tooth marks all over the thing. He carries it all over the place. Needless to say, getting his 7 month picture with the puppy toy was way too difficult this month. We'll see how long I can keep doing it. In one shot, he's actually crying and laughing at the same time because he was so mad that I was trying to keep him still, so I decided the above shot was more telling of his seventh month 'tude.

Ta-Da!

The abrupt ending of this video is due to the impending doom of the cat involved. I was just in time when setting down the camera to grab Guillermo as he held on tight to a tuft of belly fur with his little fist. Luckily the cat is much more patient than anyone ever could have foreseen. Anyway, congrats to my baby and what a great Mother's Day gift of a forever changed life that will no doubt be a lot more interesting from now on (for me AND the cat)!

Here's a better video...don't know why the earlier version was all choppy..tried several different types of files..boo!

Get Down!

Guillermo wants to crawl so badly! I think he's making it harder than it needs to be. See for yourself.

Summer is coming!

Guillermo is trying on his new life vest for his summer water debut! Seems to like it..has that smug face on. He has also just cut his second bottom tooth, and the doctor said that the top two are on their way soon! We had his 6 month appointment on Thursday. He weighs 20 lbs, 4 oz and is now 27 1/4 inches tall. In other news, we recently took him to the eye doctor after the doctor found that his left pupil was bigger than his right. The eye doctor seems to think this is fine as long as there are no big changes. The pupil is always a bit bigger and his eye droops a bit (we think he got the droopy eye from his mom though, and that it's just the way his eye will always be rather than an "issue"). Anyway, if you look back at photos, you can see the pupil...we never noticed until the pediatrician saw it!

All about Guillermo and Alma. Our little people.
