Happy Half Year!

Guillermo is six months old today! Hoorah! So, what has he been up to lately? Well, he cut his first tooth (bottom left) a few days ago, and as it continues to grow in, he is super cranky. He has not been napping much at all and waking about every two hours at night (sometimes crying out as he wakes). We're hoping that this passes for his sake and ours! So, some milestones so far:

  • Babbling (ba-ba, da-da, tha-tha, wa-wa)
  • Sitting for minutes at a time unassisted
  • Pulling to all fours and moving back and forth
  • Eating rice cereal and carrots (starting a green veggie next week)
  • Standing with help
  • Can pull from sitting to standing
  • Scooting backwards and in circles (this is frustrating for him since he goes away from things he wants rather than toward them and hasn't figured out that if he turns so he's not facing the toy, then scoots back towards it, he can get to it)
  • Passing toys from hand to hand and grabbing at things he wants (including dad's glasses and other shiny, pretty things)
Well, six months has flown by even with this LONG winter, and it's hard to believe that in six more, he'll be celebrating his first birthday. Amazing!

He even looks more worldly, than his blog photo! So cute and this May will be your first Mother's Day right?

He does look more mature - the strong silent type maybe. As soon as he starts sleeping a little better then another tooth will start to come in. Maybe this next one won't hurt as much - sometimes that happens. Just listenting to his video I know his language siklls have become better and better. He has a lot to say. Maybe not the silent type.
