Today Guillermo is 8 months old. Here are a few of the pics I managed to take as a temper tantrum was about to begin. There is no good way to take these pics anymore since all he wants is the camera...he doesn't appreciate the concept of taking pics to show his size at ALL!
So, the latest stats aren't going to come until he's 9 months old..but here are some 8 month accomplishments.
-starting to eat chunky food rather than just mush
-eating cheerio-like things...sometimes he can grasp with his thumb and forefinger, but often he just shoves them in however it best works for him at the moment
-saying mama and dada...mama is only said when angry or upset...dada is said all the time and might mean a lot of things
-likes to sing songs and watch mom do the motions...favorites are Royal Duke of York, Row Your Boat, Where is Guillermo?, Baby Beluga and Snuggle Puppy
-likes to play peekaboo
-crawls
-just started cruising around very thoughtfully
-favorite toys are measuring cups, Ocho (his octopus), soft blocks, an activity board he got from Grandmy and Grandpa Yellow, his activity table
-favorite foods include bananas of late, pears, carrots and yams
-hated foods include cantaloupe and cauliflower and peas

It just breaks my heart to see those pics. Can't you see he NEEDS the camera, it's for his collection.
Tell him Grandma Norma will get him a camera. All for his very own and he doesn't have to share with anyone. Love you
Something must be wrong with my heart, because seeing that sad face makes me want to laugh.
I actually have laughed a few times, but that just makes it worse.
Alright you two, take this young man seriously! You should not laugh at this needing a camera.

The face LOOKS sad...but it's actually anger...the second shot is the angry cry along with his "cough"...we like to call it the black lung. It's so funny, but if we laugh it makes him all the more annoyed. Gone are the days when re-directing him to a new and interesting toy works. He remembers what he really wants...and it tends to be electronics that he isn't allowed play with.
Whatever his problem, he's too cute for words !! I can't believe he's so big. I'm sure if he had a camera, he would want the next thing Mama had in her hands ; ) Tends to work that way.
